The Iron Spray is suitable for most machine-washable fabrics, including cotton, linen, rayon, viscose, and cotton-polyester blends. We don’t recommend using it on dry-clean-only garments, pure silk, or items labelled hand-wash only. As with any fabric product, we suggest testing on a small, hidden area first. When it comes to polyester and other synthetic fabrics like nylon or spandex, results may be very limited. This is because polyester is essentially plastic-based. It doesn’t absorb liquid the same way natural fibres do — instead of soaking in, the product tends to sit on the surface. Since our wrinkle-relaxing ingredients are designed to penetrate and soften fabric fibres, synthetics don’t respond in the same way. The good news? Polyester is naturally more wrinkle-resistant, so you likely won’t need extra help with those items anyway.
